One Idea Changed Everything
When our founder, Alex, moved to the United States, he was surprised by how difficult it was to find desserts that truly matched the way he wanted to eat.
As an Ironman athlete and passionate foodie, he believed people shouldn't have to choose between exceptional taste and thoughtfully selected ingredients.
Without any professional culinary background, he began experimenting in his own kitchen, determined to create cakes that people would crave simply because they were outstanding.
That idea became ZEN Cakes.
Today, every cake we create reflects that same belief: beautiful desserts made with care, premium ingredients, and uncompromising flavor.

I've always believed that dessert should be something people genuinely look forward to — not something they choose simply because it's "better for you."
As an entrepreneur and Ironman athlete, I wanted to prove that cakes could be every bit as rich, beautiful, and memorable as traditional desserts while being thoughtfully crafted with ingredients that reflect a more balanced lifestyle.
What started as curiosity in my own kitchen became years of experimenting, refining recipes, and chasing one simple goal:
To create cakes people fall in love with — before they ever ask what's inside.
That journey became ZEN Cakes.
Today, every cake we make is still guided by the same idea: exceptional flavor, beautiful presentation, and ingredients chosen with intention.

A simple goal became an obsession: creating desserts that tasted incredible while fitting the lifestyle we believed in.
2 0 2 4 SHARING WITH OUR COMMUNITY.
Friends became customers. Birthdays became celebrations. Word spread one slice at a time.
2 0 2 5 GROWING BEYOND HOME.
Production expanded, new recipes were developed, and ZEN Cakes became something much bigger than a passion project.

This summer we welcome you into our very first café in Miami Beach — serving all-day breakfast, fresh bowls, specialty coffee, matcha, and our signature cakes.
